| 1. Soaking the mat in water |

Soak the clip pot in water for about 10 minutes so that the mat can absorb water sufficiently. |

2. Making a groove in the mat |
 |
|
Open the center of the mat on the top of the clip pot by using a pencil or knife to make a groove for planting a seed. A groove can be made easily because the mat has grain. |
|

| 3-1. Planting seeds (Long seed type) |
 |
|
In case of long seeds like marigold, put 2 ~ 3 kernels into the groove of the mat to the extent that the black part of the seed cannot be seen. Use the remaining seeds next time. |

3-2. Planting seeds(Small seed type) |
 |
|
As for small seeds, get the end of a pencil or knife stained with water and stick 2~3 kernels to it, because it is hard to grasp too small seeds by hands. Put the end part to which seeds are stuck into the groove of the mat and pull out the pencil with pressing the both upper ends of the clip flowerpot. Use the remaining seeds next time. |

Cover the groove with a pencil or knife lest the seeds should be seen. It is all right even if the white tussle of the seed comes outside the mat. |

 |

Cover the groove with a pencil or knife lest the seeds should be seen. The pointed part of the seed should face downward. |

| 5. Soaking seeds in water (submergence) |
 |
|
To make a germination quickly, put the clip flowerpot to water bowl for 1-2 days and insert to the card . ※ In order to germinate easily, sock the down 1/3 of the clip flowerpot to the water, until the sprout comes out, leave it to the water cup . |

| 6. Germination |
 |
|
Try to keep the temperature of 20℃~30℃ in a place with good ventilation.
※Seeds may not sprout in places where it is cold at night or there is a big temperature difference including the use of air conditioners. |

| 7. Management after germination |
 |
|
If buds appear, it is good to grow in the sunny place with good ventilation until 3~4 main leaves come out, when the stem grows excessively and becomes weak, if it does not see the sun sufficiently. |
|

| 8. Thinning |
 |
|
Except buds that grow best, it is recommended to pull out the remaining. |
|

| 9. Cutting off sprouts |
 |
|
Cutting off sprouts makes many side branches come out and the plant look more beautiful. Usually, if sprouts are cut with leaving 3~4 gnarls, side branches come out. As there are plants that cutting off sprouts is not allowed, details should be referred to information of the plants. |

| 10. Showering |
 |
|
By the same method as in soaking seeds, put it in water for 2~3 minutes once per 2~3 days and insert it into the card after removing completely water of the case surface. Showering intervals should be adjusted according to growth and cultivation conditions of a plant. |

| 11. Watering during absence |
 |
|
If watering cannot be done due to holidays or business trips, keep it standing in a water cup so that one third of the clip may be submerged under water. In case too young buds are kept standing in water for a long time, the roots may go bad. |

| 12. Transplantation |
 |
|
It is advisable to transplant to a flowerpot if sufficient care is not available. When transplanting, the case covering the mattress should be removed and it must be planted with the mat. A mattress naturally disintegrates as it is made of natural materials. |
